2) Parents, pair up!

OK guys, exciting news – soon you shall all be hearing the patter of tiny 4th-year feet, and this can mean only one thing – adoption time! So find yourself a partner (same sex couples are more than welcome, welfare is a broad church and much like Argentina open our arms wide and embrace pairings of all sorts) and let either myself or Sheila know about the happy union. We will then bless you each with your own little bundle of pride and joy, to mould into your own image (or neglect, but please don’t do this, it would make me very sad). If you think that the responsibility would be too much than you can opt out (but we’d really appreciate it if you’d let us know, otherwise we might just give you a child anyway), but the commitment really isn’t very much, and it’s a great way to begin the integration of our years into one big happy family.

Welfare love,

Chris and Sheila x

3) Paediatric Teaching Committee

The next paediatric teaching committee is coming up next week and I would like to know if anyone has any comments/feedback? I you have anything you wish me to raise on your behalf, good or bad, then please email me at rebecca.davies@lincoln.ox.ac.uk.

4) Medical Protections Society Toasters

The MPS rep has given us a box of 10 MPS toasters, he said they’re made in the same factory as Kenwood toasters so should be quite good. They have 2 long slots for four slices of bread, variable browning control, defrost, and a removable crumb tray.

If you’d like one please e-mail me directly at miriam.thake@merton.ox.ac.uk. Ps I didn’t put this in the title as I don’ want to get inundated, but they are free, first come first served, and I’ll leave them in your pidge this week.

Well that’s all for this week, I leave you with something I noted during my walk home, goodnight x

“The bamboo groves of autumn are beautiful. Each bamboo tree stands independently, growing straight and tall toward the sky. Yet in the ground, out of sight, their roots are interconnected. In the same way, true friendship is an enduring bond that connects self-reliant individuals.”
