The Open School is a learning opportunity for clinical students to gain leadership skills for the purposes of delivering safe and high quality care. Visit www.ihi.org/openschool to learn more! Medical students across the world are participating in this and this represents an opportunity for you to learn more about this and participate in your local medical school’s Open School Chapter. You will learn about leadership, patient safety and quality of care and more about the kind of projects and initiatives you can lead and participate in to join with the thousands of medical students already taking the lead globally.
Following the success of the First Open School Camp, England we are pleased to invite you to attend a National Exchange event being held on Saturday 24th July 2010. This event will be hosted by the University College of London, Gower Street, London, WC1E 6BT.
Registration will open from 0930 for a 1000 start on Saturday 24th July. We will conclude with informal drinks at the union bar from 1815 on Saturday evening. Thursday 15th July, 5.30pm, Wing Tat Lee Room
We have secured Dr Mike Roddis BSc MB ChB MBA FRCPath from Healthcare Performance Ltd to give valuable tips and advice about the new FY1 application form. As well as being an excellent speaker, Dr. Roddis has prepared a very detailed talk including real examples of questions and past answers and will cover many aspects of the new form for our applications. There will also be an open Q&A session.
This event is sponsored by Wesleyan Medical Sickness so there will be goodies, and quite possibly snacks.
I hope to see many of you there,
