Home > Osler House Opens

Dear Everyone,

The time has finally at long last come when we can move to the wonderful new
Osler House.  This move will be taking place tomorrow - as of 8.30am the new
building will be open.  Access will by swipe using your BOD CARD.  They have
been unable to activate a very small number of bodcards, so if yours does
not work, it will do shortly.  The annexe will be closing this afternoon.
Catering facilities will be moving up to Osler House so the same hot drinks,
squash, sandwiches, cakes, fruit etc will be available, and when the kitchen
gets installed in October the range on offer will be more extensive.  How
exciting!  I would be very grateful if people did not try and go into the
building before tomorrow at 8.30 because the alarm system might be activated
and we have already had a couple of false alarms which is just a pain to
deal with.

There will inevitably be a few teething problems over the first couple of
weeks.  It might take a couple of days for us to get the pidges set up
properly so access to post might be a bit sketchy initially.  Also, the
computers have not yet been intstalled but will be arriving in the future.
If you notice any obvious problems with the building or any of the
facilities, no matter how minor or major, please let me know so that they
can be sorted ASAP.  We shall shortly be setting up and email address for
all maintenance problems to be directed to so that the building is kept it
topnotch condition.

Enjoy it, and look after it.

Sophie James, Osler House President
